Bobbin Lace

Making lace with a bobbin and a pillow. This class has been running for several years and the current members are all at different stages. We generally have a theme for the term but members can work on their own projects.

Calligraphy A self help group working together on calligraphy.


A self help group. Members work individually on personal projects. Most aspects of craft can be taught but we are limited by the Venue. We cannot do practical crafts e.g. paper making, basket making etc.

Creating Cards

A group working at creating greetings cards. No previous experience is required. Everything is provided for a small charge. Techniques will be demonstrated and skills and equipment shared.


Members are encouraged to work on their own projects, using any drawing media of their choice, ie pencil, pastels, charcoal etc. With help and advice from other group members always available.

Knit and Natter

Knitting has become very popular again with young and old, female and male alike, with creative, exciting and colourful results. Please come and join in and share your talents and ideas and learn new ones, or even just natter. It’s all good fun.

Painting (3 Groups)

A chance to paint (any media) and exchange ideas, tips and techniques with like minded colleagues.

Painting Beginners Learn to paint watercolours, step by step approach for absolute beginners or for those who are starting again after many years. Advice on equipment given in first lesson.


We make decorated photo albums suitable for displaying any pictures including family history and holidays. Techniques are demonstrated and equipment is shared. All abilities welcome.


A small group whose members use various types of sugar paste to make flowers and leaves with and without cutters. These items can be used to decorate cakes or to produce stand alone displays. No previous experience necessary.
