Badminton A mixed group playing for pleasure - don't worry about the standard.


Bowls (2 Groups)

Mixed ability bowlers are placed in different teams each session. Appropriate footwear required, otherwise stockinged feet. Woods provided if necessary. Beginners are advised to have a coaching course with the Recreation Centre. Please note members can join one group only, please state your preference .

Bowls Outdoors

Mixed ability bowlers, all levels. Appropriate footwear required. Limited woods available. Meet during the Summer term from April extending through into September only.


Croquet

We are a group of players who are keen amateurs with help for newcomers. We play every week from Easter to the October half term, weather permitting.

Croquet Beginners

A group for those who have not played before and for those who want to improve. Help will be given. A handicap system will be used to ensure that everyone gets a good game. Weekly from Easter to the October half term, weather permitting.

Petanque (Boules)

This is a friendly group who play for fun and always encourage newcomers as well as people who have played before. At the end of play some join together for a pub snack, a drink and a chat.

Snooker/Pool

A friendly group for beginners and experts alike. As the Group is using private facilities, there is a small charge of £15 a year membership, reducing to £12 in the second and subsequent years. £1 per game of snooker and £0.50 for pool.

Table Tennis (2 Groups)

Playing table tennis together on a friendly and fun basis


Tennis

A group who play, weather permitting, throughout the year, including school holidays. No standard required. Please feel free to just turn up.

Tennis - Short

This group will be taught Short Tennis by a qualified tennis coach. Short Tennis is played on a Badminton court with a sponge ball and junior tennis rackets.
