The current hotel, which has excellent facilities, is more expensive that the Chester hotel.

We have a contract with Dunston Hall Hotel | Luxury 4 Star Hotel In Norwich, Norfolk   and have to pay one quarter,  ¼, of the total charges by 6th January 2025.

The hotel  has excellent facilities, but  is more expensive that the Chester hotel.

Provisional price for the 5 nights half board, plus coach, gratuities and outings:  Single rooms is between £840 and £880 per person.

For double rooms between £790 and £816 per person.

No lunches will be paid for this year. Spending on lunch will be discretionary.

There will be no subsidy for none National Trust Members so it will be in everyone's interest to be an NT member.

I am considering a £30 discount per person for all those who have been on a Study Week during the last three years from surplus that has been built up in the IHS account.

Current proposal Monday 14th July 2025 is for guided tours of Norwich (split into two groups each with their own guide)

After lunch we can all visit the Norwich Bridewell Museum (admission paid)

Another of the four full days will be in Gt Yarmouth with a  paid visit to the Time and Tide Museum in the morning .

In the afternoon a visit to the NT Elizabethan House in Gt Yarmouth.  Although NT this is not a great mansion:

The Elizabethan House  This charming merchant's house, on the quayside in Great Yarmouth, was built around 1596 by Benjamin Cowper.Home to merchants and prominent locals, over the years the building has seen several changes to its physical shape. Evidence of the developments made by its wealthy inhabitants can be seen throughout the building. Wood panelled rooms, richly decorated ceilings and the imposing stairway all help to tell the story of the Elizabethan House. The house is famous for its connections with Oliver Cromwell who is said to have frequently visited his friend, John Carter, a prominent Yarmouth merchant who purchased the house from Benjamin Cowper in 1635.
